Ending Scene - Edit Test
Edit Test - Ending Scene
Edit
When I look back, I see the use of green screens or blank shots without the hooded figure could have made the editing process a lot easier.
I started off by masking Dylan for the portion of the clip that I wanted to use. This was just a simple mask that I could overlay the other footage.
Dylan also gives his cigarette to the hooded figure so I had to mask around the hand so there were two masks layered on top of each other. I manually masked around the hand with a few exceptions of using the automatic tracking feature and fixing it's mistakes.
I also made sure the files were named accordingly as to make sure I didn't get confused as to what was on each layer.
Once I had removed the hooded figure from the scene, I could then start adding the hooded figure back.
To make the timeline less cluttered I nested the scene without the hooded character and used that as a base for editing him back in.
Then I added the in and out points that I wanted of the hooded figure. Small slips is all I needed, but I needed to mask each of them around the character. I also reduced the opacity of the layer to give a ghost-like effect. There wasn't much movement in this scene so masking around him was easy enough.
Then to make a glitch effect, I cut out frames randomly so he kept coming in and out.
