Meeting - Final Edit
Liane, Andrew and Sinead held a meeting to put together the final edit. Darragh and Kate weren't able to make it. During our meeting, we decided to take some stuff from Sinead and Andrew's final edit, along with Liane's effect, and make a new timeline. We also adjusted the clips and modified them.
Here are the adjustments we made:
- Add a slight glitch effect to the tree pan in the intro.
- For Sinead's edit of the party scene with three Dylans, we want to make it longer so it ends on the final "that's enough" as it's like he's talking to other versions of himself and trying to get them to stop.
- For the part of the song that says "tortured mind of an artist", we want to use Andrew's dark scene where he overlays footage over each other, and we want to add more motion to those clips. We want to use a turbulent displace and some kind of wiggle to give the clip more motion and also make it seem more chaotic as a reflection of what's going on inside his head. This matches the imagery of torture.
- For the scene where Andrew overlays the mask over Dylan's face at the party, we want to add in a small zoom for more motion.
- We want to remove the first scene in Andrew's with the two masked figures sitting beside Dylan because it's too close to Sinead's triple Dylan scene.
- For the last masked party scene, we want to add a pan zoom upwards.
- We want to reset the zoom in for Sinead's triple Dylan scene because it highlights the rotoscoping issues.
- Break down "under the bus" into syllables, slightly reducing the opacity on each beat to blend out and transition.
- We need to rework the timeline so that we can change around the clips.
- Break up end of peeking scene and change opacity to beat.
- Remove six frames and six seconds of dark room overlay scene and add turbulent effect motions.
- Maybe add some fractal noise to the falling scene?
- Add slight glitch to mask introduction at the end.
- Use another opacity transition for the jumping scene, reducing every time the feet hit the floor for last three beats.
- Time stretch on second mask intro using a reduced frame rate effect.
- Glitch for the face reveal on the beat.
